ABOUT ME
In April 2019 I entered my first ever Standard distance Duathlon (Stockton) and from then on I was completely hooked!
I had set my sights on the GB age group qualification for that first race which was going to be a tough ask having just found out about having anaemia, and not to mention the complete lack of bike training, but I got lucky that day finishing 2nd overall and getting the qualification for the 2020 World Age Group Duathlon Championships.
The Covid-19 Pandemic then struck meaning that the race was postponed twice, and along with everyone else had to wait until November 2021. However, in June 2020 I got myself a brilliant coach (Dave Newport) and in that space of time I trained very hard to get Elite GB selection.
I love racing on the road, particularly 10k and this year I threw myself into quite a few TT events.
I run for Western Tempo, and in 2022 I will be cycling for Team Kirkley Cycles.
